The moment I stepped off the elevator at Bear Creek Resort, I could hear all the fun the girls were having getting ready for Kelly and Mike's wedding and I knew right then it was going to be an amazing day. As Kelly got ready, I photographed her accessories and other important wedding day details. Everything single piece was so classy and beautiful! After everyone was all ready and everything was perfectly in place, I headed off to the church to meet up with Mike with the guys.
I was immediately taken back by how beautiful the church was after I arrived. It's really breath taking! More than that, it's sentimental to Kelly as it's the same church her parents were married in more than 20 years prior. When I found Mike, he was excited and eager to greet his soon to be wife at the altar. I photographed him as he pinned boutonnieres on his groomsmen and before we knew it it was time to head downstairs.
The music started and one by one the bridesmaids made their way down the aisle. Knowing that Kelly was up next I turned my attention to Mike. As Kelly stepped into view, he said "WOW" as he watched his bride walk to him leaving no doubt how happy he was in that moment. The ceremony was beautiful and ended in a kiss that left the preacher blushing a little ;)
Following the ceremony we headed off to Lockridge Park for portraits before the reception at the Independent Park Event Center. There was a champagne toast, lots of laughs and smooches, and it was so much fun. Beforehand I was warned that the guys probably wouldn't want to spend much time being photographed ( none do ), but they couldn't have possibly done any better! I'm proud of you, guys! The reception area was beautifully decorated with flowers and letters. It was that perfect mix of rustic and classy that so many dream of. The rest of the night was filled to the brim with delicious food, great music, and lots of love <3
Congratulations, Mike & Kelly!
