Earlier in the month I headed down to Jordan Pond in Acadia National Park for Courtney and Ed's Jordan Pond engagement session. You guys, the weather forecast was NOT looking like it was going to work in our favor at all. The thing about being a Maine wedding photographer is that a lot of my clients come in from out of state. A good majority of them actually! They often travel in for their engagement sessions which makes rescheduling them really difficult. Courtney, Ed, and I chatted on the phone the day before and decided " ya know what?? Let's go for it!" It rarely rains non stop the entire day so I was confident we would be able to get their photos done, even if that meant during breaks in the rain :)
When they arrived I was immediately made aware of just how sweet they truly are! And their puppy too ;)
We walked down the trail towards Jordan Pond to the areas they had scouted out the day prior. As is always true this time of year, there was a crowd. I always feel bad when that happens because while I KNOW I can make the area look completely empty, it's hard being photographed in front of an audience. Courtney and Ed didn't let that get in the way though and they did so great! They nailed all the poses I suggested and allowed their natural chemistry to shine through.
I am SOOO excited for their wedding next year. It's actually on my birthday, and I can't imagine a sweeter couple to share the day with <3
