Last weekend I headed south for Sarah and Dylan's Bridgton Maine wedding. I know the day didn't go off as they had originally planned for it to, but I have to say it was pretty amazing just the way it was!
When I arrived at Dylan's parent's home his mom was busy putting the finishing touches on the ceremony and reception area they had designed in their backyard. It was stunning! It absolutely looked professionally decorated! The ceremony area was beautifully decorated and the tables in the reception area were perfectly set. Touches of purple were placed throughout, and it was all so beautiful.
Every once in a while I arrive at homes and Airbnbs that are the PERFECT wedding day setting from a photography stand point. This home was one of them. (YAY!!) I got to work photographing as many details as I could before it was time for Sarah to get dressed. They had a very small bridal party so it was just Sarah and her mom in the room as Sarah got into her gown. Isn't that so special!? While getting ready I was told the story of the cuff bracelet Sarah would be wearing. Not only would she be wearing it at her wedding, but so did her mom and her grandmom! Her grandfather purchased it for her grandmom before they were married. I love heirloom items like that so much <3
Before long it was time for the ceremony to start, and Sarah walked down the backyard on the arm of her dad toward Dylan as he waited for her at the altar. In the front row, off to each side tearful moms and grandmoms happily watched as Dylan and Sarah became husband and wife. It was so sweet!
Following the ceremony guests were treated to a beautiful meal cooked and served by family members, and everyone settled in for an evening I'm sure none of them will soon forget.
Congratulations, Sarah and Dylan!
