Last weekend I headed down to MA for Melissa and Eric's GORGEOUS Gibbet Hill wedding in Groton, Massachusetts. What a day!
I first met Melissa back in 2019 when she was a bridesmaid in one of my other client's wedding. I was so happy when she reached out and they decided to book with me. I knew she was going to have such a beautiful day and I was hopeful I'd be able to see my previous clients again. Both ended up being true!
When I arrived, Melissa was in a very busy room with all her bridesmaids having her hair and makeup done. She already looked stunning and she wasn't even ready yet! Right away her videographer and I got to work photographing the dresses. We walked around looking for the best available location, and that's when a car right across the burst into flames. You could say her and Eric's wedding day started off with a bang...
( I'm sorry... I had to.)
After her dresses were photographed (and the car fire across the street extinguished), I headed down the the room Eric was in and photographed the guys getting ready. This portion of the day is always fun and flies by and this was no exception. They were such a fun group. Before I knew it it was time to head downstairs for the trolley ride over to Gibbet Hill. Almost as soon of the trolley left the hotel, Eric's mom started singing "Going To The Chapel" and naturally everyone joined in. It was so sweet!
Gibbet Hill is a BEAUTIFUL venue. I mean, the kind of venue that makes you pause for a second because you just have to admire it all. Melissa and Eric choose to have to have their ceremony on the lawn in front of all their guests, followed by a private ceremony with just the two of them as they read personal vows they wrote themselves.
After portraits, there was nothing left for them to do but enjoy their reception and dance the night away!
Congratulations, Melissa & Eric!
