Last Saturday Darren, Jessie, and I headed down to Bath, Maine for Eliza and Jake's beautiful Maine Maritime Museum wedding. Everything was just perfect all day!!
When we arrived everyone was busy getting ready in their hotel rooms. Everything was so calm and enjoyable! Even groomsmen suits that were very much the wrong size couldn't ruin the excitement. Eliza was calm and steady all morning. It was great!
Once everyone was ready we headed over to Popham Beach for their first look. What a beautiful beach!!! I shouldn't have been surprised though, as it's hard to find anywhere along the coast of Maine that isn't beautiful. Jake stood stood facing the ocean as Eliza walked down the boardwalk path towards him. She tapped his shoulder and when he turned around he let out a little cheer. It was so sweet!
After the first look and portraits at Popham Beach, the bridal party headed over to Maine Maritime Museum on a trolley for the ceremony and reception. It really is a gorgeous venue for a wedding! It's classy and right on the waterfront, which always feels like a treat. After a short but so (SO!) sweet ceremony, everyone was off to the reception. Guests were treated to oysters and brick oven pizza and so many other goodies. It was SUCH an incredible evening.
