Oh my goodness, I don't even know where to start with this one. What an incredibly fun and special day their wedding was! The groom is my cousin. and this wedding was a true family affair. If I'm not mistaken, all the vendors except for the florist are family!
On Saturday, I headed down to Tall Timber Lodge in New Limerick, Maine. If you aren't familiar with the Houlton area the lodge is right on Drew's Lake, which just so happens to be my favorite place in the whole entire world. Being able to work there is definitely a bit of a dream come true for me.
When I arrived, I first saw Austin hanging out with some family and friends anxiously awaiting the time when they could start getting ready. Makala and her bridesmaids were getting ready in the cabin next door so I headed over there and got to work photographing her details. I'm not used to looking up and seeing my own family come in to greet the bride in her bridal suite, but it was an absolute treat for me and so much fun :) After the quickest hour I have EVER experienced in my entire life passed ( I'm not even kidding!), it was time to head down to the ceremony location.
What a dreamy spot to get married! They had their lakeside ceremony location beautifully decorated to set the perfect stage for their wedding. One by one everyone made their way down the aisle, waiting for the beautiful bride to take her turn. Makala walked down the aisle on the arm of her grandfather, and all of their guests lovingly watched as her and Austin exchanged their rings. After a very sweet prayer, it was time for Austin to kiss his gorgeous bride.
After the ceremony once portraits and supper ( as we call it up here in The County ) were finished the dance floor opened up, fireworks were lit, the bridal party changed into custom tees, leggings, and flipflops, and there was nothing left to do but dance the night away.
Congratulations, you guys!! Makala, welcome to this crazy beautiful family <3
