Last weekend Darren and I headed down to Wells for Kelsey and Alex's Village By The Sea wedding. It was a day full of last minute changes, but oh my goodness... everything was so beautiful.
When we arrived, Kelsey and Alex were both hanging out and getting ready in separate rooms. This was such a fun group! Everyone was so sweet and being around them all was so relaxing! If anyone felt the nerves of a wedding day they certainly didn't let it show. All of the details we photographed during this portion of the day were so beautiful. My personal favorite was the cardinal handkerchief that belonged to Kelsey's grandmother, though. It was important to Kelsey that her grandmom be represented at her wedding and while the handkerchief wasn't what she had planned on carrying with her as her something old, I think it worked out beautifully! Darren's favorite ( and a VERY close second of mine!) was the photo of Alex's dad that Kelsey surprised him with. It was equally as important that he be represented as well, and I can't think of a more thoughtful surprise.
Their ceremony was originally planned for Wells Harbor Park but a last minute complication shifted the ceremony back to Village By The Sea. Honestly, though? It was still so perfectly beautiful! Kelsey and Alex have the sweetest chemistry, and their love for each other shined through every word of their vows. After a short and sweet ceremony, they were officially husband and wife.
After the ceremony we loaded onto the trolley and headed over to Drake's Island for some portraits. What a gorgeous spot!! I love, love, love all the photos we got from there! I'm so glad the rain held off and we were able to go. After portraits, there was nothing left to do but head back for the reception and dance the night away.
Congratulations, Kelsey and Alex!
