Poconos Wedding

May 20, 2018

The forecast was calling for rain... again. It seems like it just isn't a weekend unless it rains.  Katie and Rob lucked out though, and I don't think a single drop of rain fell from the sky that day.  They chose to be married at The Shawnee in and Golf Resort in Shawnee On Delaware Pennsylvania and as soon as I pulled up it was easy to see why!  The resort is nestled inside the hills and valleys of the Poconos and is just as dreamy as ever.

Every detail was just right.  White fabrics and green eucalyptus dressed the venue in a perfectly classy way with touches of custom wood signs throughout. The ladies were all in white and the gentlemen where dressed in navy suits.  I have to say, custom wooden signs are some of my favorite personalized touches.

Katie and Rob were married under the cover of the pavilion juuuuust in case a few showers broke through.  Thankfully everything ( and everyone ;) ) stayed nice and dry.  The ceremony was officiated by Katie's brother which I thought was such a special touch. The ceremony was beautiful and full of laughter and happy tears.  It was so sweet.  Following the ceremony guests walked back to the Inn to enjoy cocktail hour on the deck.  I LOVED this. It was so classy and fun, and just perfect in the setting. It gave the feel of being on vacation, which I'm sure their guests enjoyed.  And honestly, it was just really unique and fun to photograph!  Following the cocktail hour everyone found their way into the ballroom for the reception. You guys, this group came to PAR-TAY. As soon as the formalities were taken care of and dinner was over, they hit the dance floor running and didn't stop until ( I'm sure ) well after I departed.

Katie and Rob are such a sweet couple and they were SO much fun to work with. I met them for the 1st time on their wedding day and the only regret I have.  I just didn't get enough time to spend with them!  I sincerely hope our paths cross again but until then, CHEERS!

Xoxo,
