Camp Takajo Wedding

August 25, 2018

Camp Takejo Weddings are everything I dreamed they could be and more.  When I think of summer time here in Maine it's exactly what I picture.  Log cabins in the woods, a lake with roped off lanes for the swimmers, and the occasional view of the Songo River Queen passing by in the distance.  It truly is a beautiful place for Maine weddings.

I first met Logan and Mike the night before their wedding at their rehearsal dinner at Standard Gastropub in Bridgton Maine.  (SUPER fun place, BTW.  It looks like a gas station).  Logan immediately greeted me with a big hug, and I instantly was even MORE excited to work with them. Their guests enjoyed upscale pub food family style and laughed as they shared memories together.

The following day was packed full of wedding day energy and excitement.  The ceremony took place at St. Anthony of Padua  in Westbrook. Logan wore a GORGEOUS Pnina Tornai gown.   Mike wore a suit from IndoChino.  Rich jewel toned flours were provided by Flour!,   Following the ceremony, guests loaded buses and headed for camp! Logan wore a beautiful reception dress by Marchesa Notte.  Guests were treated to cocktails on the lake front adirondack, giant pine trees, a custom made tipi bar, and laughter and dancing well into the night.

This was my first Maine wedding and was more than I ever could have dreamed.  I've said it before and I'll say it again, doing what I love WHERE I love is one of the biggest blessings of my life.
